Biography

Jessica Fairweather is a Haida Photographer, born and raised on Haida Gwaii, BC. She has been practicing photography professionally for the last 10 years. Her career began from a passion and grew into a pathway. From a young age she was encouraged to cherish moments in life, and what better way to capture those, than a camera. 

Fast forward to today, Jessica has worked with many notable organizations and businesses including the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), The Council of the Haida Nation (CHN), White Raven Law, Destination BC, Swiilawiid, The Youth Climate Action Fellowhip, Misty Islands Economic Society (MIEDS), Moresby Explorers and The Hecate Retreat. 

Her work in larger scale photoshoots does not stop in the business realm. She has photographed a beautiful variety Weddings, elopements & engagement photoshoots as well. 

Outside of the larger scale shoots, Personal photoshoots are where her journey started. She has lots of experience in photographing Familes, Lifestyle, Maternity, portrait as well as album cover art. She is always excited to try out anything her clients bring to her. 

Creating a safe, enjoyable experience is the most important factor in Jessicas practice. Her number one priority is ensuring her clients feel comfortable. She personally understands the awkwardness one can feel when posing for the camera, so it is always a priority to make it a fun and easy going experience.
